History:
Kinetic Defense is a physics-based shooter that was strongly inspired by the game
Red (with my own touches of course). This is also the first game that I made that incorporates particle effects and screenshake.
Through its development, the game has gone through a number of experimental iterations using different tools and shooting mechanics. In an earlier version of the game the main gun fired lots of smaller bullets like a machine gun but in later versions I've settled on the "Kinetic Cannon" shooting mechanic where shots take time to charge up as this encourages players to make each shot count. Kinetic Defense is my most recent HTML5 game and though it's still very much under development, I plan to upload it onto a public site such as Kongregate sometime before 2018
